Fàilte - Inverness Nordic and Ski Touring Club

Please go to Forum and Programme for lastest events.

The 2011-2012 season starts soon. Snow has fallen and already some keen skiers have tried skiing the Ptarmigan. There's no excuse for hiding your skis in the loft. Nordic Ski Touring does not require enourmous depths of snow and providing you have some old "rock skis" a decent tour can be had even on our local granite hills!

The Club Newsletter requires YOUR contributions to make it successful. Do not just rely on the usual contributers to provide you with news and information. A simple review of new equipment you have tried out or account of your tour experiences is always welcome. Even a few photos and a short paragraph can help to vary the newsletter content so come on, make a small effort and send John a contribution.

This season will hopefully carry on where last season left off and we will be running a couple of weekends away. If you haven't been on a club weekend before they are the ideal opportunity to get to know club members, enjoy skiing in a different, relax and extend your skiing skills. There will also be another opportunity to try Igloo building with the Grand Shelters Ice Box tool. You then have the option to sleep in it overnight!

Last Season was one of the best for 20 years - did you really make the most of it? If not then make amends this season and join in with the skiing tours and activities being organised for you.
